ibis Beaune Centre

The contemporary decor was very nice, modernised since our last visit. All the staff were lovely, but particularly Fanny, who helped us out with a few things during our stay and the lovely maintenance chap who seemed always to be smiling. Good breakfast selection. Great secure parking, which is important to us as we have a little old cabriolet/soft top car. Just gives us peace of mind.

The overall stay was enjoyable. Modern bathrooms, friendly reception. Swimming pool, bar restaurant. Overall, good value. Rooms are quite small and parking was nonexistent at the hotel. There seems to be a gated car park, but it needs a code. Managed to find parking at the residence area, which worked out fine. The air conditioner was locked at 19° and seems it's on a timer and reverts back to 26°. I opened the window but it was in the street and noisy so had to close it.

We had a really nice welcome from staff when we arrived in the evening. We had the opportunity to be seated at a table on the main level and share a bottle of champagne that we purchased from the front desk. It was a wonderful experience. Our room was "cozy" but it was clean, private bathroom and a window that opened! We didn't purchase the breakfast option. It was a convenient location away from the City Center, which we drove to the next day. Beaune is a beautiful city!

Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Nice comfortable room,nicely decorated. Great shower. Good breakfast, very nice tea, enjoyed the choice of croissants and breakfast cake. There were breads, cheeses and cold meat,cereals , fruit and a choice of eggs plus sausages ( tho I didn't try them). Location was great as a stopover to/ from S of France to Calais with the advantage of an easy walk to numerous restaurants.

The location was good for accessing the centre of town and the hotel general areas were very spacious. The bar was well stocked and the breakfast was very good.
